Banyuwangi Ecology & Wildlife Tour - 4 Days

Ijen Crater is a national tourist icon, which is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Indonesia.

Tour will begin at 5 am from your hotel. Safety driving by jeep towards Paltuding (last ranger post) is 1 hour past the rice fields, coffee plantations and tropical rain forest. After buying the entrance fee, you will be guided for trekking to the top of Ijen Crater. Along the trekking route which takes around 1.5 hours, you will find a lot of sulfur miners carrying their excavations.

Could you imagine that a savanna in Java covered with tropical rain forest? Baluran National Park is the answer. Only 45 minutes from the city of Banyuwangi, you will enter the gates of the national park in the northern town of Banyuwangi.

Beginning the trip in this park you will enter an area called evergreen forest where the forest along this path is always green throughout the year. After driving 50 minutes cleaving the forest, then you come in a vast field called Little Africa in Java. This vast savanna is a life of various types of mammals such as bulls, group of deer, wild buffaloes and many kinds of bird.

You are about to encircle the National Park

2,5 hours’ drive from your hotel to the pavement and bumpy road will bring you to a national park on the south side of Banyuwangi. In this grassing area you will see how peaceful life of animals. Bulls and deer are sharing a place to live. There is also a turtle hatchery and you will see the baby turtles that are ready to be released back into nature.

You'll feel the sensation of the best mangrove forests in Java, along 350 meters thick and 18 kilometres long using traditional boat “gondang gandung”. This mangrove forest save 26 species of mangrove and a natural habitat for monkeys, monitor lizards and migrant birds from Australia. While enjoying lunch and fresh coconut on the boat, you will see also the birds that flew sort such as sea eagle, stork and king fisher.

Escape from Bali. This is the most appropriate phrase to describe a trip to this national park or well known as Sukamade Beach. There are no tourists in many quantities. Only silence of the woods, sound of rivers, hospitality of local people, cacao and coffee plantations.
